Medical

Welcome to the medical department of Tesla Station. Our department has two main purposes. The first, and most obvious is the health and general welfare of the inhabitants of the base, as well as visiting ships that are docked at the station. The second purpose is to provide a venue to starfleet for cutting edge medical research and developement to occur.

Our Facilities

Tesla station is a base of almost 200 000 people, as such, there are many medical facilities. Below is a list of our medical facilities, and their roles in the base.

Primary Sickbay

Primary sickbay encompasses Deck 83 of Tesla Station. It is the "hospital deck" of the base. It contains the hospital wards, Medical Labs 1 & 2, Surgical Wards 1-3, Critical Triage Wards 1 & 2, as well as Primary intensive care unit. Primary sickbay is equipped to handle all of the regular hospital traffic of the station.

Secondary Sickbay

Secondary sickbay is is located on deck 84, directly below Primary Sickbay. It contains backup wards for overflow patients, as well as Medical Labs 3-5, Biohazard Research, and Statis Units. Secondary sickbay's wards are left empty unless patient traffic requires their activation.

Auxillary Sickbays

Tesla station has 10 Auxillary sickbays, located at key positions throughout the station. Not as large as the Primary or Secondary Sickbays, the Auxillary bays are used for overflow traffic that the main bays cannot handle.

Medical Bays

Medical bays are located throughout the station, and used in times of emergency to provide backup space for patients.
