The How To GuideThis page has been created as a guideline to help you create pages for your characters, planets, places or anything, really. It also provides you with some information on how to better place your page. How to Create a Character PageStep One: Search for your character's name. If it doesn't exist, there's no page for it. So, create one by clicking on the link that says edit this page or create this page. Step Two: Use a template. For characters, we have Template:Character_Data. Copy everything in a box and fill out what you have for your character. Step Three: Check out Raul Kerano. Now that is a bio. Now, keeping in mind that your template data will show up in a pretty box, this is where the meat of the bio is. If you would like, copy and paste the following into a word processor program and fill in the blanks. ==Family and Academic Life== ==Starfleet Career== ==USS Galileo== ==Hobbies== ==Personal Relationships== ==Appendices== I am not a fan of the word 'Apocrypha' personally, because that's a phrase used on another site - [1]. Step Four: Categories. In order to sort through everything and for maximum viewing pleasure, please add categories to your page. The little box below are a few examples. [[Category:Humans]] = If you want to be added to the list of human characters [[Category:Science Staff]] = If you want to be added to the list of scientists How to Create a Planet pageSo you're exploring a world and think 'we should have a planet'. Well, now you can! The template used is Template:Planet_Data. Even if you don't use the actual template itself, you should be able to get an idea of what you do need in order to supply the information requested. Just copy and paste somewhere, fill out and then create a new page with the planet's name, using the data you just copied. You can add more, too, if you'd like. Again, don't forget the Categories. Every planet page should have it's own[[Category:Planets]]page. MiscellaneousMore will be added as necessary. |
